Cheese Stuffed Cutlet Recipe

Makes 6 cutlets

Ingredients

For stuffing

1/4 cup grated cheese
1 tsp chopped green chilli
1 tbsp chopped coriander
1 tsp oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped onion

For outer layer

1 tbsp oil
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp powder (sesame seeds + peanut + khus-khus)
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp amchur powder (dry mango powder)
salt to taste
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup grated beetroot
1/2 cup raw banana 

Method

For stuffing

1. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until light pink.
2. In a bowl mix all the ingredients for stuffing.

For outer layer

1. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté chilli.
2. Add tomato ketchup, prepared powder, and all the spices.
3. Mix properly and sauté for 30 seconds.
4. Add beet and mix properly.
5. Add boiled banana and mash and mix the stuffing.
6. Transfer in a bowl and allow it to cool.

How to proceed

1. Divide the outer layer mixture into equal proportion.
2. Make puri using hand and fill in 1 tbsp stuffing in it.
3. Prepare round ball and press a little to give cutlet shape.
4. Dip the cutlet in thin corn flour slurry.
4. Coat the cutlet with semolina or bread crumbs.
5. Deep fry on a medium flame until light brown.
6. Serve it with green chutney, salsa dip or creamy dip.
