Faradi Protein Dhokla Fasting Recipe

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

200 gms singada flour
1 tbsp curd
1/2 cup peanuts
sindhav salt to taste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp chili paste
2 tsp oil
1 1/2 fruit salt

For tempering:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp sesame seeds

Method

1. Ferment singada flour overnight in water and curd to make dhokla batter.
2. Soak peanuts in water for 2-3 hours, drain water & half crush.
3. Mix all the ingredients properly in the batter.
4. Add fruit salt and mix properly.
5. Grease the plate and pour batter in it.
6. Steam dhokla in a steamer on a medium flame for 10-12 minutes.
7. Let it cool for 10-15 mins and cut into square pieces.
8. For tempering, heat the oil, add sesame seeds.
9. Let it crackle and then pour it over the dhokla.
10. Serve dhokla hot and garnish with freshly grated coconut and coriander.
