FROZEN CORN RECIPE – CORN BHEL RECIPE

Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

1 fresh corn cob

For corn bhel
1 tbsp oil
1 chopped onion
1/2 chopped capsicum
2 chopped green chilies
2 cups corn
salt to taste
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp chat masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped cucumber
2 tbsp chopped coriander
2 tbsp sev
2 tbsp tomato ketchup

Method

For Frozen corn
1. Remove the husk from the corn.
2. Boil the water, cover & cook for 5-7 mins.
3. Remove the corn & dip into chilled water.
4. Once it is cool, let it dry.
5. Remove the corn seeds.
6. Store the seeds in small plastic bag.
7. Remove excess air & Seal the plastic bag.
8. Keep in a freezer.

For corn bhel
1. Bring corn to the room temperature.
2. Heat the oil in a pan.
3. Add onion & saute for 30 seconds.
4. Add capsicum, chilies, corn & saute for a minute.
5. Add salt, chili powder, chat masala & mix well.
6. Transfer in a bowl & bring it to room temperature.
7. Add lemon juice, tomato, cucumber, coriander, sev & ketchup.
8. Mix properly & garnish it with corinader & sev & serve immediately.
