frozen samosa recipe


Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Makes 6 servings


For stuffing
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp jeeru
1 small chopped onion
2 tbsp chopped french beans (fansi)
2 tbsp boiled peas
2 tbsp ginger-chili paste
a pinch of garam masala
salt to taste
1 tbsp boiled corn
3 tbsp poha
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp chopped coriander
3 tbsp freshly grated coconut
6 ready samosa sheets
1 tbsp wheat flour slurry

For samosa sheets
1/2 cup maida
1 tbsp corn flour
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil


For stuffing
1. Heat the oil in a pan & add jeeru.
2. Once it crackles, add onion and saute for 30 seconds.
3. Add french beans, peas, ginger-chili paste.
4. Mix well & saute for 1 minute.
5. Add garam masala, salt & corn.
6. Soak poha in slight water & add to the mixture.
7. Mix properly & add sugar, coriander & coconut.
8. Mix properly & transfer in a bowl.

For samosa sheets
1. Mix all the ingredients & prepare medium stiff dough.
2. Divide the dough into equal parts.
3. Roll out into a thin rotis & roast a little.
4. Cut each rotis into half.

How to proceed

1. Fill in the stuffing in the sheet.
2. Close the edges with slurry.
3. Deep fry for 1 minute.
4. Let it cool down.
5. Store in freezer in an air tight container.

Note: At the time of using it, let it remain out for 15 minutes & deep fry on a high flame until golden brown.
