Green Chutney Recipe

A very basic recipe for the green chutney. This is a very popular and favourite recipe in India, which is a must ingredient in all the chats and as a side dish with any farshan. It is found almost at all Gujarati Houses on a everyday basis.

Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Makes 1 cup

Ingredients

2 cups chopped coriander (dhania / kothmeer)
1 cup mint leaves (phudina)
2-4 green chillies
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste
2 tbsp peanuts
2 tbsp lemon juice

Method

  1. In a bowl, wash coriander, mint leaves and green chillies twice.
  2. In a mixer bowl, mix all the ingredients and grind to form a smooth paste.
  3. Transfer in a bowl.
  4. Can be stored for a week in a fridge and for 15-20 days if frozen.
