Pudachi Vadi Recipe

Makes 7-8 vadi

Ingredients

For paste

1 tsp impli pulp
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp oil

For dry mixture

2 tbsp shredded dry coconut
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp khus-khus
1 tbsp peanut

For stuffing

1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger chili paste
1 tbsp gram flour (besan)
1 tsp red chili powder
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
1 cup chopped coriander

For flour

1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
3 tbsp chopped coriander
1 tsp sesame seeds

Method

1. For paste, mix all ingredients in a bowl.
2. For dry mixture, dry roast all ingredients and grind.
3. Keep aside until needed for further process.
4. For stuffing, heat the oil in a pan.
5. Add ginger-chili paste and saute gram flour.
6. Add salt, sugar, coriander and mix on a slow flame.
7. Add 1 tbsp prepared imli paste and mix well.
8. Transfer the stuffing in a bowl and keep aside.
9. For flour, mix all ingredients and prepare firm dough.
10. Divide the dough into equal parts.
11. ROll it into medium thin roti.
12. Cut it into half and spread impli paste.
13. Fill it the stuffing and seal it using water.
14. Try and give small samosa shape.
15. Deep fry on a medium flame until golden brown.
16. This can be stored upto 5-6 days in an air tight container.
