Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Cooking Time: 10-15 mins.
Makes 12-15 pieces.


For upper layer

2 cups yellow corn flour
2-3 cups water
2 tsp oil
4 tbsp plain flour (maida)
Salt to taste

For stuffing

2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped green chillies
1 small chopped onion
1 small chopped capsicum
100 gms blanch chopped spinach
½ cup boiled crushed corn
Salt to taste
1 tsp oregano
½ tsp chilli flakes
2 cubes grated cheese


For upper layer

  1. In a pan mix all the ingredients.
  2. Cover with the lid till water absorbs on a slow flame.
  3. Once water starts evaporating mix well everything.
  4. Transfer in a bowl and keep aside.

For stuffing

  1. In a heated pan, add oil, garlic, chilli, onion and saute till dark brown on a medium flame.
  2. Add all the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Keep aside in a bowl.

How to proceed

  1. Smoothen the prepared upper layer with little oil with hand.
  2. Make small puris from that by greasing rolling pin and hand as well.
  3. Put thick puri in a greased ghughra mould.
  4. Add stuffing in it and make ghughras out of it.
  5. Grease the mould everytime you make it.
  6. Deep fry on a medium flame till golden brown.
  7. Serve with green chutney and ketchup.


  1. This can be stored in a deep freezer for 1 ½ month.
  2. If you want to store it, dont fry , store it in an air tight container in deep freezer.
  3. Fry when you want to use it.
